I've spent the last couple of months building The Assembly — a real-time political social deduction game that runs entirely in your browser (Android app also available). It launches May 2nd and is completely free to play.

The world

The old world ended with The Crisis . What remains is The Assembly — a council of delegates trying to govern the ruins from within the Secretariat , the last seat of power. But not everyone wants to restore order. Some want to tear it down and build something new.

What is it?

You are secretly assigned to one of three factions. Civil delegates are trying to restore the Charter and rebuild civilisation. State delegates know who their allies are and are working together in secret to enact enough State directives to seize control before they're exposed. And somewhere among you is the Overseer — waiting in the shadows to claim total power the moment the time is right.

Each round, a President and Chancellor are elected, policies are legislated, and the deception deepens. Civil players must identify and outvote the State conspiracy. State players must lie convincingly enough to pass directives without breaking cover. Nobody is who they claim to be.

What makes it different:

🎭 10 unique Title Roles — on top of your faction, you might secretly be an Assassin, a Defector, a Cipher, an Archivist, and more. Each has a one-use hidden ability that can flip the game entirely.

🗳️ Personal Agendas — every player has a hidden secondary objective that rewards independent play regardless of which faction wins.

⚡ 5 Game Modes — Casual, Ranked (full ELO + seasonal leaderboards), Classic, Crisis (event cards that shake up the rules mid-game), and House Rules (fully custom deck sizes, toggle any system on or off).

🤖 AI Bots — if you can't fill a lobby, bots fill the gaps. They have distinct personalities, actually bluff, and State bots coordinate their lies with each other just like human players would.

🎙️ Built-in WebRTC voice and video — no Discord needed, talk to your table directly in-game.

🏆 Full progression system — ranked seasons with ELO resets and tier rewards, clans, daily/weekly/seasonal challenges, 25 achievements, a season pass, cosmetics shop, match replays, spectator mode with a betting system, and more.
