So whenever EC announces elections they mandate every institution or company to provide a day leave for their employees... But since the election is on Thursday, no company will give off on Friday...so many employees have to return on the same day to their home town and I have seen people who don't want to go to hometown to vote just for this....

Logically if they conduct it on Friday/Saturday, I feel the voter turnout percentage will increase and people will not feel lazy atleast because they'll get two to three days holiday...
