The call to action: Help those who support the movement but lack a supportive local community get involved.

I've seen a lot of posts about the importance of working with ones' local community to organize against authoritarianism, which I think is great, but I always read these and then think "what local community?" I think it is important for us to think about how those of us who don't have a local community to work with can contribute. I think this would help us to expand the movement.

I don't want this post to be only about me, but I will use myself as an example: I'm in a rural area so the local community is pretty small and sparse, and largely right wing. If I talked to people around me about this I would probably just get made fun of, and there are a few extremists in the area who could be a safety risk. That said, not everyone here votes for Trump, and once in a while I see someone with a sign for the democratic candidate in election years.

So I am wondering If others have any ideas for how to help people get involved who are supportive of the movement but lack a supportive local community, and if there is anything I can do to help with this.

One other thing I should note. I feel that despite our political differences, I do have some common ground with the right wingers here in wanting freedom from authoritarian government and strong economy, but we don't agree on how to achieve that.
