Liberals spend an insane amount of time making comedy out of Trump and focusing on Trump wanting to be a dictator. They seem to think electing a democrat or even a social democrat such as Bernie Sanders is going to fix the issues.

Not a fan of the guy, and besides the point, all the Trump jokes aren't funny. (Unless youre talking about Iran's Lego videos those are hilarious.

The truth is these are natural logical conclusions under capitalism. The flirtation of annexing Canada or Greenland isn't a joke, and it wouldn't have been unique to Trump. Avoiding the disastrous tariff policies would've been better for the economy, but a democrat would not have been able to fix inflation. A democrat would not be able to deliver on promises to solving the issues of homelessness, Healthcare, retirement, etc. A small knock isnt bad, but it isn't enough. Artificial poverty, unemployed workers available to hold jobs over the heads of those who want higher wages, you name it are symptoms of a system that demands never ending growing profits. It is not possible to solve climate crisis under capitalism.

Look at Canada and look at previous American standards from the FDR era. As soon as there are no new markets to push growth and stimulate investment, which is the primary function of growing jobs, wages, etc, then jobs will be cut, benefits will be slashed, any progress workers make in improving their conditions can and will be taken away. This will always happen under capitalism.

Your cost of living will continue to go up. And your wages and benefits will continue to go down. And there are no other solutions that our current system and implement to change this.
