Restating at the top in case I forgot any below:

Brief history: Formerly pre-med, looking to switch into engineering (I have all pre-reqs covered)

Studied: Interdisciplinary Science (so I’ve taken biology chemistry physics all with a lab.) Minor in Math (Calc 1-3, Diff Eq, Proofs, as well as upper level stat courses)

Hi!

I’m a senior in undergrad right now and the best semester after finishing my entire degree (BSc) I just had free electives to fill. So I took four classes. Three of them being relatively easy, but then I also decided to take astronomy. i’ve always had a passion for astronomy, and I never really got to explore it with my degree and it’s easy to say that I LOVE the everything about it. It’s intellectually stimulating and the math is cool because it’s sorta visual (if that makes sense). Also, for context: my entire time undergrad, I deeply regretted not doing majoring in engineering. I have a minor in math so ALL of those classes were with engineers.

Essentially: I have been heavily debating pivoting my life/career into engineering.

Essentially, I applied for JHU Space Systems engineering program last week … long story short it is the one program that I feel aligns with my interests best— What are the odds of getting in? I have a 3.4 GPA and am worried but my SOP I feel is very strong and tells me “why” in depth (there is also a project that I REALLY would love to be apart of in the APL)

I’m just curious if anyone has any opinions on it — or what I could do going forward to demonstrate interest.
