The battle began with an attack ad from the UniComOp candidates Different Car and Susamogus on the campaigns of Breezy, Camel, Gabe, Suki, Tricky, and Forsi which labelled DiffCar and Gus as a good pair and all other candidates as the red scare. Various people, including Frein, Breezy, Tricky, and Sean, pushed against the ad’s message by claiming that none of the candidates mentioned were communist. About 4 hours after the initial ad was posted, Forsi posted an ad pushing back on the idea that any of the candidates were communist and telling voters to, “Reject Pinguin and Gus at the ballot box.” While the ad by the Pinguin/Gus ticket wax called false by many on the left on the Discord, such as MinecraftGuy, Forsi, and Camel, many have embraced the ads furtherance of a potential conflict between the coalitions of UniComOp and UTOPIASCARE.
