Surat is one of India’s fastest growing cities. Urban planning, budgeting, transport, sanitation, environment, disaster management, these are serious responsibilities.

So how are we okay with electing people who themselves never completed basic education?

In this country, people study for 20 years just to stay unemployed while 4th pass, 8th pass, 11th pass politicians become mayors, ministers and CMs.

Education apparently matters only for common people.

P.S. The newly elected Mayor of Surat, Maya Mavani, is only 11th pass and hasn’t even completed her schooling. Meanwhile, most other cities at least have someone with a degree. Although I’m not even sure whether those degrees are relevant, but let’s ignore that fact for now.
